1. Donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable
Donations made to Nice Educational Welfare Society are voluntary contributions towards charitable work and are, as a rule, non-refundable. Funds are committed to school fees, ration kits, skill training and welfare relief soon after receipt.
2. When a refund may be considered
A refund may be granted where the donor was charged more than once for the same transaction, where an incorrect amount was charged due to a technical or clerical error, or where an unauthorised transaction is reported and verified. Requests must be made within 7 days of the transaction date.
3. How to request a refund
Email info@nicewelfare.org or call +91 93906 03543 with the donor name, donation amount, date, payment mode and transaction/UPI reference number. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within 7 to 15 working days, subject to bank and gateway timelines.
4. Recurring and sponsorship donations
Monthly child-sponsorship and other recurring donations may be cancelled at any time by written notice at least 7 days before the next scheduled deduction. Amounts already deducted and applied to a sponsored child's education are not refundable.
5. 80G tax-benefit notes
Nice Educational Welfare Society is registered under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Donations by Indian taxpayers are eligible for 50% tax exemption under Section 80G, subject to prevailing law and limits. A valid receipt is issued for every donation; please provide your full name, address and PAN to enable a compliant receipt. Where a refund is issued, the corresponding 80G receipt stands cancelled and must not be claimed for tax deduction.
6. Donation guidelines
Please donate only through the official bank, UPI or card channels published on our Donate page. We never request donations to personal accounts or wallets. Cash contributions above the limit prescribed by law are not accepted. In-kind donations such as books, uniforms or ration items are welcomed after prior confirmation with our office.
7. Use of funds
Every donation is recorded in our books and reviewed by our governing body and statutory auditors. Audited annual reports are available on request to registered donors and supporters.
